Scar Treatments/LPG Endermologie for Scars

LPG Endermologie® is a natural and painless alternative to improve the appearance and flexibility of scarring – it can have a very powerful and positive effect on scars.

LPG endermologie is a mechanical device that massages using a negative pressure vacuum (suction) in combination with rolling and kneading movements provided by motorised rollers / flaps. It gently lifts, stimulates and mobilises the tissues to reduce tissue stiffness, improve tissue movement and lymphatic flow.  LPG endermologie also stimulates the natural collagen and elastin production which improves the quality of the tissues, and eases pain whilst restoring skin mobility.

LPG endermologie can be used to improve the look and feel of multiple types of scars (e.g. hypertrophic and atrophic) including:

For the best results, we recommend a programme of six sessions although this is dependent on the type of scarring to be treated. The practitioner will explain the options available during your initial consultation.

Before and After LPG endermologie treatment

You can see how LPG treatment improves the scar (left to right) – the first picture shows the scar before the procedure, the second is after three sessions, and the last one is after six sessions of LPG treatment.

LPG endermologie is a highly effective, natural, painless and non-invasive alternative to improve the appearance and flexibility of scarring.

During an LPG endermologie treatment, a treatment head is placed on the scar, and it gently lifts and mobilises tissues. This both directly mobilises the tissues and stimulates the natural collagen and elastin production which improves the healing process. The outcomes include the easing of pain, improved skin mobility, scars look flatter and softer, and scar texture can be improved. Treatment time depends on the size of the scar, but usually treatment takes 30-60 minutes.

Unlike alternative treatments, LPG endermologie is a painless experience, and many patients find that it relieves pain within the session.

When delivered by an expert specialist there are very few side effects associated with an LPG endermologie treatment. When they do occur, they are typically mild, and reduce within 24 hours. Unlikely side effects that may be experienced include localised bruising, mild soreness and temporary redness in the treated area.

The results from LPG endermologie are progressive, you may gain improvement in one session but with a course of treatment permanent relief can be gained, other times following weekly treatments a less frequent schedule of sessions may be needed. The practitioner will explain the treatment plan during the initial consultation.

The price for LPG endermologie starts from £233 per session, and this reduces when a block of sessions is purchased.

"I have been coming to the Clinic for over a year now and the experience has always been extremely professional and courteous. Having major surgery can be a daunting process but the clinic has at all times provided excellent care across all aspects."

"Great staff, and knowledge. I called the clinic after I had a traumatic experience elsewhere which left me with 2nd-degree burns. Very, very pleased with the results of the burn, it disappeared and left no scarring with the dressing and treatment Mr Goutos used. My experience as a whole has been more than pleasant and I would recommend both the clinic and Mr Goutos to all!"
