The London Scar Clinic is one of the country’s only scar treatment centres; we have assembled a dedicated expert group of consulants. Including Plastic Surgeons, Medical Tattoo Artists, Physiologists and Psychological support to offer a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to the effective assessment, management and treatment of scars.
While some scars settle down over time to be virtually unnoticeable, some may remain visible or uncomfortable. Although it may not be possible to fully remove scars, we aim to significantly improve scars by making them less visible and problematic for our patients. Our team understands that a scar can have a significant impact on the patient’s quality of life no matter its size, appearance or location.
There are different types of scars with different characteristics; they often demand more than one treatment type from different professionals in order to maximally improve their look and feel and reduce any impact on function and well-being. Therefore a successful scar treatment journey involves a team approach and starts with a comprehensive consultation.

SURGICAL
From your initial consultation right through to your treatment and aftercare our team of specialists at The London Scar Clinic are there to support you every step of the way. Whether surgical or non-surgical treatment is recommended will depend on the results of your consultation. Our surgical scar treatments include scar revision and excision, subcision, punch excision, skin grafting, fat grafting and more.
NON-SURGICAL
Non-invasive treatments unlike invasive treatments do not involve breaching of the skin or removal of tissues. Non-invasive treatments are considered conservative methods which have much less downtime, if any, associated with the treatment. Non-invasive treatments are a common first step in your scar improvement journey, especially if you are still in the initial stages of scar formation and healing. These treatments include laser, injectables, TCA Cross, scar massage, medical tattooing, radiofrequency microneedling and more.
